Our Doctors
Dr. Justin Mays is a native of Austin, Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin as well as the University of Houston College of Optometry. During her time in school, she was active with student leadership and was a member of the Optometric Honor Society. She is skilled in ocular disease management and primary care optometry, as well as pediatric optometry.
Her current area of specialization is ocular diseases, dry eyes and ocular trauma management. She has also had extensive experience with laser vision correction through LASIK. In her spare time, she enjoys tacos and hiking with her fellow Longhorn-cougar husband and their blue heeler, Korra.
Jen Pankow is a Paraoptometric with over 30 years in the industry. She grew up in Chicago’s South Side and received her degree in Medical Assisting from Robert Morris College before earning her Paraoptometric crystal vision center optometrist College Station certification from Indiana University. She has a vast amount of experience in patient care, office management, and medical billing. She is an avid Star Wars fan, has a yellow lab named Obi-Wan and lives in Joliet with her husband.
Dr. Eric Baas is a native of Chicago, Illinois. He is the co-founder and principal of Union Eyes LLC and owner of Marketplace Vision in Chicago. He is also the founder and principal of iCare Advisors, a firm dedicated to helping doctors across the country open cold start optometric private practices. He is the 2014 Young Alumnus of the Year at the Illinois College of Optometry and completed externships in ocular disease, primary care and ocular trauma management. In his spare time, he enjoys physical fitness, supporting the Wisconsin Badgers and the Chicago Bears and hanging out with his Boston terrier Snoop.
